Playgrounds, walking trails, and covered pavilions makes this a perfect place to get away with the kids for a day of fun. Shaded lawns and park benches are just what the doctor ordered, a break from the hectic day-to-day pace. Ashland City Park is excited about the addition of the new skate park.  This new addition brings added pleasure for kids of all ages.</p>
<p>LINEVILLE CITY PARK<br />
A walking trail surrounds a central lake, against a backdrop of trees and bluebird houses. Several covered pavilions are available for large group gatherings. The Lineville City Park is the site of the annual ALCAZAR Car Show and the Kid&#8217;s Catfish Classic.</p>
<p>MT. CHEAHA and CHEAHA STATE PARK<br />
Located 20 miles north of both Ashland and Lineville lies the highest point in Alabama &#8211; Mt. Cheaha. No where in Alabama can you find views as spectacular as those found in this State Park. The 2799 acre park is located atop Cheaha Mountain. At 2407 feet above sea level, this beautiful mountaintop retreat exhibits breathtaking scenery year round. <p>CLAY COUNTY PUBLIC GOLF COURSE<br />
Come and visit Clay County&#8217;s Public Golf Course located at 120 Country Club Road in Ashland. This beautiful course is a 9 hole and 18 tees Par 70 course. The course is open year round. 256-354-2814</p>

Anglers&#8230;want to find a spot that isn&#8217;t over crowded and fished out? Get away to the Clay County State Lake located near Delta, Alabama. State Lake is one of the best kept secrets of Alabama fishing.</p>
