Lineville Alabama Heritage Day

Join us in Lineville, Alabama on November 6 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. as we celebrate the Year of Alabama Small Towns and Downtowns with an old-fashioned street festival. Begin the day at the Exchange Club Pancake Breakfast at 6 a.m. Other activities include an antique tractor show and parade, a juried vintage quilt show, and an 1890s costume contest. Enjoy historical displays and live music featuring local talent. Great food, craft vendors, and activities are planned for the whole family. The highlight of the day will be the unveiling of a historical marker at City Hall celebrating Lineville’s rich history. Call 256-396-9121 for more information.

Lineville Alabama High School Reunion

It has been said that you can never go home again.  Not so, because the Lineville High School Aggies are returning home for the day.  On the afternoon of June 12, 2010 from 1 to 5 pm,  all LHS classes from years 1960 – 1967 plus those from later classes who are members of the LHS Alumni Web Site, are being invited to join the Class of ’66 for an afternoon of great fun.  The return is called “Blast From The Past”.  If you are interested in organizing your class to attend “The Blast” then please visit the website Lineville High School Alumni website at http://lhsaggies.com/ and then click on June Blast in the main menu bar.

Beef Plus is a comprehensive four evening program, and a field-day for beef producers seeking timely information about nutrition, health, forages and pest management issues. The program will contain both classroom and hands-on training. Location: ALFA Farmers Federation Auditorium. April 30th Field Day Details to follow later.

At 2 a.m. on the second Sunday in March (March 14th, 2010), we set our clocks forward one hour ahead of standard time (“spring forward”). We “fall back” at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday in November by setting our clock back one hour and thus returning to standard time.
