Ashland will hold their Christmas Parade on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.  Lineup begins at 5 p.m. at Clay County High School. 

Grand Marshalls – Military Veterans
who served our country past and present.

Forms are available at Ashland City Hall, Ashland Police Department, or online at www.cityofashland.net. 

Entries must be received by 12 p.m. on November 30, 2011.

A ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. CST at Horseshoe Bend National Military Park near Alexander City, Ala.  Guest speaker will be Lee Sentell, Alabama Tourism Director.

The Clay County Saddle Club is holding a Turkey Shoot on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. at the Saddle Club arena.

12 Gauge – No Choke – $3.00 per shoot

Turkeys and Hams will be offered as prizes.

Heritage Day Old-Fashioned Costume Contest

Dress up in your best old-fashioned attire and enter our costume contest to be held on Heritage Day, Saturday, November 5.  Winners will each receive a $25 cash prize and earn the title of Heritage Queen and King.  Pictured are last year’s winners in their confederacy based uniforms.  However, this is not the only theme; any old-fashioned costumes will be allowed for entry.

Clay Service & Electronics is excited to announce we’ve expanded to better serve the growing needs of our customers.  Auto Technician David Blakely has joined us in service.  With 20 years auto, dealership, and mechanical background, we are very pleased to welcome him.  CSE is also now an authorized AC Delco Service Center which will highly benefit our customers.  We are honored to be one of the only Certified ASE Master Independent Repair Shops in the state of Alabama!
